Central Valley Medical Center Addition and Remodel

The project is a steel and concrete-over-metal deck structure with a structural masonry block exterior. There is a micro-pile foundation system under spread and continuous footings. The exterior skin includes split and smooth face c.m.u., EIFS bands, punched window openings, curtain wall entrance, and decorative, articulated, t.s. metal framing and canopy over new entrance. The roofing system is to be single-ply roofing with new flashings, copings, expansion joint assemblies and some manufactured roof panels. The interior space will be mainly new office and exam rooms with some storage and locker area. The 2nd floor of the addition will also have some unfinished shell space. A new elevator and stairs will be installed in the core of the building. Selective demolition on the interiors and tie-ins to the existing utilities will be needed to achieve a fully functioning hospital. The site work will consist of earthwork activities, new utilities and tie-ins to existing, selective demolition of asphalt and concrete paving and curb & gutter, new asphalt and concrete paving and curb & gutter. This is a privately owned and funded facility. All Bidders must pre-qualify prior to submitting their bid. The Owner has selected Okland Construction to be the CM/GC on the project. Final project approval of budget and construction funding is pending and the Owner and Okland Construction reserve the right to withdraw this project and bids at any point or time due to non-acceptance of pricing or budgetary reasons. The Owner and Okland Construction reserve the right to accept, reject or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding. All bidders submitting acknowledge and agree, if awarded, to enter into a subcontract agreement (for installed bids) or a Purchase Order agreement (for material only bids) with Okland Construction utilizing Okland Construction’s standard “Subcontract Agreement” or “Purchase Order Agreement”. A copy of these agreements can be found at ftp://ftp.okland.com/agreements. These agreements shall include modifications for scope of work to be performed. Okland Construction participates on federally funded projects and complies with the requirements of Executive Order 11246 including Affirmative Action to ensure equal employment opportunity.
