NPS Pharmaceuticals Laboratory/Office Building

This is a new research and office building in the University of Utah's Research Park is a three-level structural steel building consisting of three stories and 90,000 square feet. The building will contain about 55,000 square feet of administrative office space and 35,000 square feet of research space. The new laboratory and office spaces are specifically designed for employees and personnel investigating new medical technologies. The lobby, multiple offices and several large and small meeting areas are architecturally highlighted with local woods and stone. The laboratory space built in this facility accommodates various chemistry, pharmacology and molecular biology research areas. The building also features an animal vivarium, an arachnid nursery, venom milking spaces with associated support areas. The facility was completed on an extreme fast-track schedule of 11 months.
